Excerpt

A blend of science fiction and noir detective fiction, Blade Runner was a box office and critical bust upon its initial exhibition, but its unique postmodern production design became hugely influential within the sci-fi genre, and the film gained a significant cult following.

Sat down with my son and watched the international theatrical version. probably the better of the three versions. Definitely a cult classic, lots of replay value! I'd love to live in this imagined world.

Get the directors cut - There is no narration through the film which gives it an entirely different atmosphere, not to say that the original wasn't brilliant as well. A true cult classic & one of a kind that can never be rewritten or remodelled. Blade Runner does not fall into any movie catagorie, in fact to describe it you have to venture into the relm of true art. You either love it or just don't get it. Captivating...Brilliant...Art...

An all time classic that different generations can find connections with, a film both my Dad and I enjoy to watch together.

Still makes me laugh when you see the Pan Am neon billboards, considering they don't exist any more.

philosophical poem.Think about it.What were the question of the replicas?"Who are we"? "From where come from"? "Who create us"? "why our life is so short"? I cant be sure that the people who made this film intended to this philosophy but that is ART!!
